Early 1900s SALT MACKEREL Price Tag 15 Cents Each Grocery Label

The primary text is a combination of stamped pricing and handwritten product identification, a common practice before the widespread adoption of pre-printed labels or digital pricing systems. A large, bold, dark red or maroon rubber stamp impression reads “15,” with a smaller, more faded and unevenly applied stamp below reading “Each,” indicating a unit price of fifteen cents.
