We offer these 5 early pictorial envelopes from H.C. Lohr, High Class Leghorns Exclusively, Lohrville, Iowa. These identical envelopes each measure 6-1/2 x 3-11/16 inches. At the turn of the 20th century poultry raising was important in central Iowa. From our research we estimate that the envelopes are from about 1900-1910. These unused envelopes have a printed corner featuring the head of a proud longhorn chicken (rooster). The picture measures, from side to side, 2 inches and top to bottom, 2-1/4 inches. They are in very good condition. All very slightly toned. All with open, unstuck flaps. Ready to go! Please look at our photos.
