1971 Philippines Constitutional Convention Inaugural Hymn”The Dawn Of A New Day” Used. The Dawn of a New Day (Liwayway ng Bagong Pag-asa) was the official inaugural hymn of the 1971 Philippine Constitutional Convention. It was composed by Eliseo M. Pájaro, with lyrics by Horacio de la Costa and a Filipino translation by Rufino Alejandro. The hymn celebrated hope, unity, and the beginning of the convention that drafted the 1973 Philippine Constitution.
