Pre-philatelic letter from Paris for Pluméliau (Morbihan) – Official circular on the military recruitment law of 1832 – Postmark “60 PP J” (Post paid – Bureau J in Paris) The destination is particularly interesting since it concerns a Breton commune that is still poorly represented in the preserved administrative correspondence. The document reproduces the new provisions concerning military recruitment after the promulgation of the law of March 21, 1832. The circular reproduces in full article 19 of this law as well as its official interpretation appearing in the ministerial instruction of the March 30, 1832. In the second part of the circular, the sender asks his correspondent to notify the young people concerned so that they appear before the Board of Revision. The law of March 21, 1832.
