Panoramic steel plate engraving of the city of New York, from The New York Mirror, along with the contemporary description of the picture as printed in the accompanying New York Mirror dated April 19, 1834. A commanding view over all Manhattan from the Heights of Brooklyn. The foreground includes the river shore with much open space and three men on a promontory over the river. The Hudson is full of boats, sloops and clippers, and the city skyline is punctuated by many slender church spires. “T.K. Wharton, Del./ A.W. Graham, Sculpt. below the image at the right.
